God is still amazing...The car, the child and the angels... Well for some time now my husband and I have been carless. We have a ministry and have found it challenging at times to get to our minsiterial appointments which stretches across north and south England. Well this Sabb after AY we had an appointment which involved us getting to Leyton. A friend at church had invited us to use his Jaguar whenever we needed it. As exciting as this offer seemed, it made us nervous simply because over the last year we have had to agree that we wouldn't use anyone's car, due to certain experiences. However, after dropping to my knees in church Sabb evening about the matter, having shuffled back and forth we decided to go ahead and borrow the Jaguar. We were sure to pray on our journey. At our destination on leaving the car I asked God to put angels on guard whilst we were away from it. Returning to our home whilst leaving the car, I requested the same thing once again, 'Lord, send your angels to guard the car and keep it safe please!' We had a friend and his 8 year old staying with us for almost 5 months. The daughter often dreams and has visions. On Saturday night (8/1/11)as usual, her and her dad were entering the estate late, we had gotten in for about 11:20pm; and she said to her dad, 'Can you see them? There are lots of angels daddy, there! The dad tried but couldn't see them. He asked, 'what do they look like? Some are black and some white. They have big white wings and they were all in white!' How many of them can you see Lee? daddy asked. Loads, hundreds...It was Sunday when my friend (the dad)said tell Shirley what you saw last night. When she explained, i asked, 'where exactly, was it where the car park was etc..?' From her reply, the angels presence included the area where the Jaguar was parked. Have you got goosebumps? I felt sad that I almost couldn't believe it, yet it was something I had asked God to do.My friend said, I have never described what angels are supposed to look like to her. Lord I believe help my unbelief! Thank you God for this encouraging answer to prayer. God is still very much in the business of answering our little prayers, no matter how insignificant they may seem.

 

The Team leaders were unable to manage, the staff had a poor work ethic, the organisation made front page news for the poorest performance in the country....and God gave me the task to turn things around in my first official Line Management role in a service I knew nothing about. So I placed the situation in His hands in much fervent prayer.......Things changed. The Team Leaders left and effective ones came. The staff with bad attitudes left and better ones came. The service improved and were no longer underperforming. God gave me a task and I asked Him to guide me through.....2 years later I give God all the glory for what He has done... I was simply an instrument willing to be used. Prayer Changes Things
